First graders experiments
First graders together with teacher Alina immersed into scientific experiments.
Any children celebration couldn’t be imaginable without balloons. Therefore, in the first experiment, we blow the balloons in an unusual way - using vinegar and baking soda. When combined, these substances release carbon dioxide gas, which, when spread, inflates the balloon.
The experiment not only gives children positive emotions, but also teaches that balloons can be inflated not only by mouth or balloon blowing pump, but also by using vinegar with baking soda.
In another experiment, children use a balloon, their hair and ground pepper. When you rub the balloon into your hair, it gets energized, so when you add such balloon to the ground pepper, they playfully stick to the balloon. Children are surprised by this experiment because they hear an unusual sound and see unseen sight at the same time.
Both experiments gave children incredible feelings and perhaps increased interest in chemistry and/or physics.
