IB: "How the world works"

IB:
2018 November 26th Pre-school

Last week in our school we had a guest from USA, teacher Corrie Giffone and she was telling our students about one of the biggest celebrations in United States - Thanksgiving Day. In the time of the lesson we talked about the history of this day, learned about this nice and important day for americans , what traditions and food are common for this special day. We tried delicious cookies from abroad, but also understood how grateful we are for everything we have. We also "cooked" our thanksgiving turkeys.

One of our students came back from a trip to Portugal, so he was very excited and shared all the emotions with his friends. He told us about Christopher Columbus, how he discoverd America, where we can find Portugal on the map. It was very interesting  to all of us having so many international experience in one IB "How the world works" lesson.
