IB: How the world works

IB: How the world works
2019 December 10th Grade 3

Our second unit of inquiry in mobile group (grades 1-2) has been focused on weather. Students have been inquiring into different types of weather conditions by observing and recording weather on daily basis. They explored the causes of different types of weather by analyzing the water cycle and learning about different types of clouds and their features. Students carried a number of science experiments like making a rain cloud in a jar and a tornado. They also researched different methods to explain and predict weather and constructed weather measuring tools- a barometer, a rain gauge and a wind vane. With the help of these tools, they could measure the air pressure, the amount of rain fall and the direction of the wind.  View the photo gallery
