IB unit: ‘‘How we express ourselves“. Discover, Create, Express.

During this learning period, second-grade students explored how creativity and cultural traditions help people express their ideas and feelings. During the activities, students developed their imagination, expanded their creative thinking, and improved their expression skills by creating a Christmas card and a holiday greeting.

Matejus Petkevičius and Danielė Raugevičiūtė participated in the national drawing competition “Christmas Tale 2025” and received certificates of appreciation.

Second graders also became familiar with a non-traditional form of expression – they created figures using tangram pieces. While writing a letter to Santa Claus and an essay about their holidays, they learned to express their thoughts clearly, coherently, and meaningfully.

At the end of the activities, students evaluated their achievements and realized that various creative experiences help them better understand themselves, strengthen confidence in their abilities, and enrich the learning process.
