IB unit „How we organise ourselves“. Our rights and responsibilities.
2023 April 27th Grade 4
At the beginning of the unit, the students got acquainted with the concept of human rights and responsibilities. With the help of Erasmus student from The Czech Republic, students created a poster that displays human rights with corresponding responsibilities. Also, students learned about various human rights organisations, their principles and activities. 4th graders watched and discussed associative videos about human rights and human rights violations. Students came to the conclusions that human rights are connected with norms of behaviour, social values and human dignity. They also realised that human dignity will be protected only when all members of society understand their responsibility to protect rights and freedoms of others.
