IB unit “Sharing the planet“. A corner of plants.

2nd grade students decorated their classroom with plants and created a corner of plants.
While watering the marigolds and analysing their growth process, students noticed that even though all plants were planted at the same time, all of them grow at different rates. Majority of plants grow towards the sunlight and could not survive without water. Students took a good care of their plants and all flowers bloomed.
After finding out what is necessary for transplanting a plant, students transplanted the marigolds into the school garden.
