IB unit “Who we are”

The 2nd grade students explored the IB unit “Who we are”. They uncovered that a human being is composed of various emotional, physical, and social characteristics. Moreover, they attempted to understand the purpose of emotions and explored what emotions like anger might be concealing. As part of their inquiry, the students asked questions about their classmates' hobbies, favourite colors, and pets. This not only contributed to a better understanding of one another but also fostered a sense of connection within the class. Additionally, having gained knowledge about different characteristics of a person, they were able to identify their own positive and negative personal qualities. Furthermore, the students creatively presented themselves through the development of booklets "Get to Know Me" and "Maths Around Me." This interactive approach likely enhanced their learning experience and provided an avenue for self-expression. Finally, the students collaborated on creating a poster titled "We Are All Different." This summarizing activity undoubtedly reinforced the idea of celebrating diversity among themselves.
