IB unit: “Who we are”. Cultural Identity – A Path to Self-Discovery.

The main idea was that understanding one’s own culture helps us better understand ourselves. Students explored the concept of cultural identity and reflected on how our cultural heritage shapes personal identity. During discussions, they talked about why it is important to preserve and nurture traditions, how they are passed from generation to generation, and why they are meaningful to each of us.
The highlight of the project was a presentation organized for the European Day of Languages. Students explored different countries, analyzed their cultural identity, prepared traditional dishes, and shared them with one another. This experience became not only enjoyable but also a meaningful journey through different cultures. It helped students better understand the uniqueness of other nations and appreciate their own culture and its importance to personal identity even more. ✨
