IB unit “Who we are”. Culture and me.

As part of their learning journey, students sought answers to questions about cultural identity and how knowledge about cultural background can help people to learn more about themselves.

Our 4th graders gathered information about Lithuania’s cultural heritage, created stories, visited the Curonian Spit, and learned about the region’s traditional crafts and architecture. Additionally, they selected a country and worked in groups on a project exploring that country’s cultural identity, focusing on traditional cuisine, clothing, and sports.

Students also participated in an intercultural event, “Discover South Korean Culture”. They were visited by South Korean students from the international LCC University, who introduced them to South Korea’s landscapes, flora and fauna, landmarks, traditional dishes, and language. Our guests also taught the 4th graders to say a few sentences in Korean.

The fourth-grade students shared their knowledge and understanding with the rest of the school community.
