A sunny golden autumn day is the best time to explore the nature. "The expedition" of young nature explorers, led by teacher Alicia, were preparing for a trip to the school yard. The trees and bushes, which grow outside grabbed the attention of explorers. Some trees have leaves and others have spikes. Therefore they are called deciduous and conifers. What deciduous trees grow in the school area? How to distinguish between oak, birch and maple? How does the beech tree look? How to distinguish between pine, larch, juniper and fir? Which trees grow fruits? Why the rowan berries are so special? A small quince bush with spiny branches and bright yellow fruits was not left unnoticed. We picked some quince fruits and came back to the school group.
Soon we all tasted the quince tea and continued our research on how quince was similar to lemons…
