Why are mother‘s cakes not only tasty but also moist and fluffy?

Our first grade scientists can already answer this question. During the experiment, students without hands just by using baking soda (alkali) and vinegar (acid) inflated a balloon. How did they do that? It‘s simple – they made carbon dioxide.

Carbon dioxide is produced whenever an acid reacts with an alkali. Carbon dioxide could be found mainly in air.

Carbon dioxide gas began to expand in the bottles and started to inflate the balloons. That is way our mothers‘ cake are so fluffy.
