The European Day of Languages

The European Day of Languages
2024 September 26th 5-8 grades

The European Day of Languages was celebrated at “Universa Via” International School with a vibrant mix of activities that highlighted the diversity of languages and cultures across Europe. Students had the chance to test their skills in a BINGO game in Spanish. Those interested in exotic languages had the opportunity to learn Hindi, while others wrote letters in a language created by M.K. Čiurlionis. For students longing for something new, there was an opportunity to try writing in Gothic script. Sixth graders took on the challenge of teaching German to younger students, while fifth graders designed language logos on T-shirts. Older students delighted everyone with a music quiz featuring songs from various countries. The day aimed to promote multilingualism, encourage language learning, and foster appreciation for Europe’s rich cultural heritage.
