"Who I am"

Working on the theme of the international baccalaureate "Who I am", the children of the preschool group got acquainted with 5 main human senses - sight, hearing, smell, touch and sense of taste. The children tried to experiment with their senses and feel what sensations they have and how they are used. With their eyes they tried to see the letters, pictures, colours. Exploring the sense of touch they pulled things out of a mysterious box with their eyes closed and tried to guess what they had in their hands using their tactile sensation. Used their sense of hearing to listen to various sounds and tried to guess them. Closed their eyes, smeled vegetables and flowers and tried to gues what they were smelling. And finally with the help of their sense of taste the kids tried to guess what they were eating. It was interesting, curious and useful for children to use only one of their senses, and to understand how a person can navigate and know many things with their senses, as well as how difficult it is if a person does not have certain sensations.
