Erasmus+ group mobility program in collaboration with Obermayr International School in Schwalbach am Taunus in Germany

From October 27 to 31, 2025, three of our teachers – Jolanta Vaserienė, Karolina Skrinskienė, and Ieva Žukienė – participated in a job shadowing experience at Obermayr International School in Schwalbach am Taunus, Germany, within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. This professional development activity provided an opportunity to explore modern teaching methodologies used in an international school and to observe how students’ creativity, critical thinking, and intercultural competences are fostered.

During the visit, Ieva Žukienė conducted an integrated lesson introducing Lithuanian culture, traditions, and geography to upper-grade students, promoting cultural awareness and international dialogue. Karolina Skrinskienė delivered lessons on the same topic for grades 2, 4, and 5, integrating creative, linguistic, and cognitive activities to help younger learners better understand Lithuanian identity and values.

The teachers also had the opportunity to visit the European Central Bank in Frankfurt, where they learned about the principles of the European economic system and possibilities for developing financial literacy within education.

The acquired professional insights and international experience will be applied to enhance our school’s curriculum, strengthening the areas of ethical, creative, multilingual, and civic education, and fostering cooperation on a European scale.
